Terms of Use

Terms of use for this website

Last updated 15 October 2026. These terms cover your use of this website. Any introduction, licence or sale is governed by the written agreement you sign for it.

1. Who we are

licensemydata.com (the “site”) is operated by Minimus Ventures LLC, a Delaware limited liability company registered in California, based in Newbury Park, California (“we”, “us”). By using the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

2. What the site is

The site gives general information about licensing data for AI training and provides a form for contacting us. Nothing on the site is an offer, a valuation or advice. No arrangement between you and us, or between you and anyone else, exists until it is set out in an executed written agreement.

3. Our role

Our role depends on the material and the deal. For business data and video, we refer you to a specialist processor or buyer, which contracts with you directly; we are not a party to that agreement. For some clinical data, we take a licence from you ourselves and sublicense the material, so we are a party to your agreement and our obligations are the ones it sets out. In other clinical deals we make the introduction only. We tell you which applies before you sign anything.

In every case we do not take custody of, store or process the material you license.

We do not give legal, tax, financial or regulatory advice. You are responsible for getting your own advice, including on whether you hold the rights needed to license your material.

4. How we are paid

Nothing is payable by you: not to qualify, not for a valuation, and not on completion. We are paid out of the transaction by the processor or licensee. Where we are a party to your agreement, what you are paid, and when, is set out in that agreement. If an independent introducer brought you to us, any fee between you and them is a separate matter.

5. Using the enquiry form

Send only what is needed for a first conversation. Do not send files, records, passwords or other credentials, or personal or confidential information about other people or your customers, through the form. Submitting the form does not oblige you or us to do anything further. Our Privacy page explains how we handle what you send.

6. Information on the site

Descriptions of market demand, requirements and values are general, can change without notice, and may be out of date. Any figure or range describes the market, not what your material will earn. We do not promise that any material will be accepted, that any transaction will close, or that any amount will be earned.

7. Brokers and introducers

Any commission or other arrangement with a broker or introducer exists only under a separate written agreement signed with us. Registering an introduction through the site does not by itself create a right to payment.

8. Our content

The text, design and graphics on the site belong to us or our licensors. You may view and print pages for your own use in considering our services. Do not copy, republish or sell site content without our written permission.

9. Acceptable use

Do not misuse the site. That includes trying to gain unauthorised access, interfering with how it works, submitting false information, or using it to send spam or malicious code.

10. Third-party services and links

The site relies on third-party services, such as hosting and web fonts, and may link to other sites. We are not responsible for third-party services or sites.

11. No warranties

The site is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy and non-infringement.

12. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue or data, arising from your use of the site. Our total liability for any claim arising from your use of the site is limited to one hundred US dollars (US$100). Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. These limits apply to use of the site only; any transaction is governed by its own agreement.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules.

14. Disputes

If a dispute arises, the party raising it will first give the other written notice, and both will try in good faith to resolve it within 30 days.

Any dispute not resolved that way will be settled by binding arbitration administered by JAMS under its rules then in effect, before a single arbitrator, seated in Ventura County, California. Judgment on the award may be entered in any court with jurisdiction.

Claims may be brought only on an individual basis, not as a class or representative action. Either party may bring an individual claim in small claims court. Either party may also ask a court for temporary injunctive relief to protect intellectual property or confidential information while an arbitration is pending.

If any part of this section is found unenforceable for a particular claim, that claim will be heard in the state or federal courts located in Ventura County, California.

15. Changes

We may update these terms. When we do, the date at the top changes. Material changes will be noted on this page rather than made quietly.

16. General

These terms are the whole agreement between you and us about use of the site. If any part is unenforceable, the rest stays in effect. Not enforcing a term is not a waiver of it.
